The Department of Electronics belongs to the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Polytechnic University - Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, established in 1975 with 15 lecturers led by Dr. Tran Kim Loi is the head of the department. To date, the department has more than 30 lecturers with doctorates and masters who have graduated from many countries around the world such as the US, UK, France, Canada, Japan, Korea, Australia, ...

The mission of the Department of Electronics is to teach and train subjects related to electronics majors for undergraduate and graduate students.
In addition, the Department also conducts research and design projects on electronic circuits, microchips, embedded systems, on-chip systems, signal processing systems, and biomedical electronic systems.
In addition, the Department also cooperates with outside research and production organizations to develop electronic product applications.
